Its’ been chugging away since 1892: The Brienz Rothorn Railway pufs past Alpine meadows, streams, rocks and through sparse forests above the tree line to the Brienzer Rothorn at 2351 metres above sea level. During the one-hour ride (7.6 kilometres), a breathtaking panorama over the imposing Bernese Oberland opens up – realise your dreams!

The cable car takes you from the valley station Elsigbach directly to the Elsigenalp, in 7 minutes to 1800 m.a.s.l. Go for a leisurely stroll in the midst of the mountain world, let your soul dangle and feel the senses relaxed. The plateau around Berghaus Elsigenalp is a wonderful invitation to do so. Discover different trail options from 10 - 30 min. The Brandsee can be reached in 15 minutes from the top station of the cable car. Several small fireplaces invite you to barbecue, wood is provided on site. From the middle of summer the Brandsee invites also for swimming. SUP boards with paddles and life jackets can be rented. Also at the Brandsee is the Photopoint, take a picture of yourself! Do you have a desire for exciting adventures full of riddles, then the "Krimispass" is just right for you.

The cascades fall 600 meters from the Engstligenalp plateau to the valley. The second highest waterfalls in Switzerland offer a natural spectacle in a class of its own, which has been under cantonal nature protection since 1948. The gushing spectacle can be discovered in all its glory on a circular route, mountain hiking trail and via ferrata, by bus or from the gondola.

The gondola takes you from the Grimsel Hospiz down to the foot of the Grimsel dam wall in just a few minutes and to the hiking trails towards Rätrichsbodensee and Grimselsee.

The small red cable car, open all year round, has room for only eight people or one cow. It takes you up to a wonderful hiking area with a fantastic view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In summer you can whiz back to the village on a scooter bike, in winter on the same route on a toboggan.

Here the north faces of Eiger Mönch and Jungfrau are within reach. Männlichen is the ideal starting point for hikes above the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen valleys.

The nostalgic funicular from 1910 takes you high up to the summit of the proud pyramid that towers so majestically above Lake Thun. At the top, a magnificent 360-degree panorama of the Bernese Alps, over Lakes Thun and Brienz to the Jura or a mystical cloudy atmosphere awaits you. In the Berghaus Niesen Kulm you can enjoy culinary highlights with mostly regional products or an overnight stay (sunrise arrangement).

From the Grimsel Hospiz, the two-part, approx. 30-minute journey takes you across Lake Grimsel to Lake Oberaar, at the end of which the Aare originates from the glacier of the same name

The former service cableway takes you from the Grimsel Hospiz via Lake Grimsel up to the foot of the Sidelhorn to the continental watershed of the Aare and Rhone in just a few minutes.

Eye to eye with the wild brook and the mighty, 120-meter-high Reichenbach Falls, the nostalgia railroad rides upwards in its faithfully reproduced 24-place wooden carriage. For Sherlock Holmes fans, this excursion is almost a must.

After a short trip of just 30 minutes by aerial cableway you reach the summit of the Schilthorn at 2970 metres above sea level. Immerse yourself in the world of James Bond and marvel at the spectacular 360°-panorama with Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and more than 200 other alpine mountain peaks.

Already the nostalgic ride with the Schynige Platte Bahn is an experience. Once at the top, the magnificent panorama, Lily's alpine playground and the botanical alpine garden invite you to linger.

Once on the Stockhorn, a breathtaking view all the way to Mont Blanc awaits you. An exciting quiz trail, an adventure trail and two great playgrounds await the children. The panorama platform with transparent floor provides the necessary thrill.

From the Sustenpass road within ten minutes directly up to the foot of the Gadmer Dolomites. This is made possible by the Tällibahn. The gondola of the former factory railroad offers space for eight excursionists. Up there, everyone, whether still young or already a little older, will find their personal favorite spot.
